Making these waffles is easy peasy. All you need is a box of cake mix (we went with Funfetti…..and added more rainbow jimmies, of course!) and a waffle iron. Make the batter according to the directions on the box. Ladle into a pre-heated waffle iron and cook until desired doneness. Top with a dollop of whipped cream, sprinkles & a candle.

This is brilliant, Stevie! I seriously had no idea you could do that with regular cake mix. Mind blown. Now I know what the new birthday breakfast will be in our house!

I didn’t either until Jessie told me. She make pancakes for her little people….but I have a waffle iron, so I went that direction. Just be sure you don’t fill the iron too full 🙂
